Use Your Smartwatch To Keep Your Goals Aligned
I will be honest in saying that I didn't get the whole smartwatch trend and crave when it first came out - mainly because I was so clueless about what it could do besides just being a fitness tracker. However, when I actually received one, I was completely caught off-guard with the limitless possibilities that come with a smartwatch. As written in a previous post, using your smartwatch is an amazing way to keep both your fitness goals and personal goals intact. For example, most smartwatches come with many tracking features that can measure your step count, your heart rate, how many calories you have burned, the number of hours you have slept, and more! If you have a fitness goal of reaching a certain step count or burning a certain amount of calories, this is for you. You can also count your water intake, how much caffeine you are drinking, and monitor your stress levels!
As for staying on top of your personal goals, your smartwatch is effective in providing numerous apps that can be beneficial to keep on track with deadlines, emails, notifications, and more. If you are trying to be more on top of time-management, you can set alarms, set reminders, and even set updates that can be of great use.
Personalize Your Smartwatch
Another benefit to smartwatches is the personalization and customization that comes with each watch. From the actual watches aesthetic in choosing the color, style, and even band of the watch, to the actual digital display of the watch, there are countless ways to make your watch one of a kind. One cool feature that comes with most smartwatch apps even our own iTOUCH Wearables app, is the ability to choose your watch's face. There are many pre-saved choices to chose from - even one the allows you to fully customize it with an uploaded photo of your own - but there are hundreds of more to download from the app store.
Choose What You See and What You Don't
An interesting feature that comes with your smartwatch and app is the ability to choose what notification you want to receive. By going into the "Settings" option in the watches app, you can select the notifications you want to receive - this can be anything from phone calls, text messages, and Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram notifications. You can even enable other compatible apps on your phone for an added benefit.
Additional features that come with your app is the time format, in which you can choose a 12 hour format or a 24 hour format, the unit system for your phone, languages used for apps, and the weather, which is updated hourly. The weather can be adjusted to the city you are in, and can provide a forecast for the entire week - being much needed if you are planning events or may need to purchase an umbrella for your commute.
Whether you are just new to smartwatches or looking to discover new features your smartwatch can do, there are endless discoveries to be made.
