It is finally May which means it's time to start planning your next summer getaway! It can be a bit overwhelming to choose somewhere to go, so we got good news for you! We are making it easy for you by doing the research ourselves! If you are looking for the best islands to travel to this summer, look no further. Here are the best islands to visit this summer.

Malolo Island, Fiji

Finally ready to visit the South Pacific? Who wouldn't! Without question, the summer makes for the most perfect of times to visit Fiji. Fiji will be in its dry season, having its waters be at their clearest and calmest. If you are definitely a beach person, you cannot go wrong visiting any of the white-sand beaches here. One of the most beautiful resort destinations to visit is Malolo Island’s Six Senses Fiji, that contains 24 pool villas, which are all teak with wood-beamed ceilings, and white linens (very fancy). These lovely villas sit at the cusp of the sea, being separated by a lush jungle garden and shady palm trees. Of course, the renowned spa is surely worth a look, as are the restaurants, which serve fruit and vegetables grown on-site! We surely wouldn't blame you however for spending most of your time out on the sand or snorkeling the nearby Malolo Barrier Reef.

Palm Beach, Aruba

Aruba is an exceedingly gorgeous island destination that is famous for its sugar-white sands, gabled houses, and twisted divi-divi trees. Skip the rockier, rougher seas of the north for the oh-so elegant and posh Palm Beach. Focused in the west, it is home to one of Aruba’s most luxurious sleep - The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba. If you do not chose to stay here it still makes for an impressive landmark with its multi-tiered saffron exterior and their amazing and luxurious pool area.

Anguilla

Anguilla is a British-Territory that is said to contain over thirty beaches, but surely the most picturesque will have to be the Shoal Bay - which is a two-mile stretch of sand on the island’s Atlantic side. The white sand mix graciously with a crystal turquoise ocean making it a truly beautiful sight to behold. At these beaches, the shallows extending farther out than usual thanks to a protective reef. On these beaches, one can find all amounts of authentic beach bars that will surely impress as well as arguably Anguilla’s most luxurious resort, Zemi Beach House, on the eastern end.

Zakynthos, Greece

Mamma Mia - Here we go again to the incredible island known as Zakynthos, Greece!  Despite being one of the largest Ionian Islands, Zakynthos welcomes fewer tourists and lower hotel rates than compared to Mykonos and Santorini. While it is home to one of the most interesting of tourist destinations, Shipwreck Beach, its sands and other beaches are far less visited. On the hilly outskirts of town sits one of it's most prized hotel destinations, the Olea All-Suite Hotel, which is a hotel comprised of 93 cube-like villas, featuring a lovely bohemian feel with its wicker hanging chairs, bamboo detailing, and swim-up terraces. It’s worth checking out their three restaurants and yoga pavilion as well before heading to nearby Tsilivi Beach for some rest and relaxation!
