It's hard enough sustaining our busy lives, and perhaps that's the reason why many of us can't fit fitness in. Work alone exerts a lot of time and energy, but it's essential to line up your values with your schedule. There are many ways to fit exercise into your life if you're dedicated enough and truly want to make it happen.
Know You Have Time
We say there isn't enough time in a day to get the things you want done. Nonetheless, this could be because you're not prioritizing your tasks correctly. The reality is: you DO have the time to fit exercise in your life. Whether it's 10 minutes, a half hour, or a full hour, take that free time to move. It's better to do a little something than nothing at all, for at the end of the week it will add up. This could be as simple as a walk around a block or your own workout routine.
Write A Schedule
For some reason, things become more real and legitimate when we write them down. Therefore to fit exercise into your life, schedule your workouts in ink. Mark the exact time you're going to train and where, and stick to it. You want to treat your fitness time like any other appointment. You wouldn't miss a hair or a doctor's appointment, right? Your fitness life should be just as important.
Enjoy Your Workout
Fitting exercise into your life shouldn't be something that is forced or that you dread. You should genuinely like it and enjoy the workouts you do. Of course exercising can be tough at times, but you shouldn't hate every second of it. Find a few things you're good at and have fun doing. If you love the beach, do beach workouts. If you love softball, find a league and join. Explore your options and know you're not limited to the gym.
Find Friendly Competition
Another way to fit exercise into your life is signing up for some friendly competition. Participate in something fun, such as a run or charity event to help keep you on point with your training. Adding an exciting personal or friendly challenge to fix up your workout will give you the right motivation you need to continue. This can be setting goals on your smartwatch, or involving your friends and family into your fitness life. Whatever it is, start adding more workouts in NOW!
